In this @USAutism Full-Length Feature Release, Dr. Valerie Hu discusses the role that various endocrine disrupting chemicals might be playing in at least one autism subtype. Following a research line that took her all the way to the Faroe Islands, Dr. Hu explains how certain sex-related and environmental risk factors appear to interact to contribute to some of the epigenetic changes that are frequently seen in at least one group of autistic individuals.
